Casa Jarapa is a unique business selling traditional Spanish rugs and throws. The rugs, called 'jarapas', are handwoven from 85 per cent recycled cotton. They are very soft and come in various designs and some beautiful colours. They often have stripes but these are often interestingly irregular. No two jarapas are the same!

The jarapas can be also be used as bedspreads, wall-hangings and hall-runners, and we have a selection of plain colours.

We have recently opened a shop at 148 Kirkdale, London SE26 4BB. Tel. 020-3417 6385. Tues-Sat 10am-6pm; Sunday 12noon-4pm, late-night shopping on Thursdays until 8pm. We are having a NEW YEAR SALE, starting 2 January. Please come in, or contact us for details.

NEWSFLASH
Our new shop is now open, and it's called Alhambra Home & Garden, after the beautiful Moorish palace in Granada, Spain. It's selling a whole range of beautiful homeware, deli-items (such as organic olive oil), reclaimed furnishings and gifts. There's also a 'secret garden' tea room selling teas, coffee, Spanish hot chocolate and fantastic home made cake! There is an art gallery in the tea room, and until the New Year we are showing photographs of Andalucia by Steve Powell.
