We've moved!
We are now at 148 Kirkdale, London SE26 4BB. In fact, we have expanded, and are now called Alhambra Home & Garden (incorporating Casa Jarapa). We have tons of new things: fabulous Mexican cushions, ceramics, olive oil, Spanish food, (including delicious mountain honey), groovy kitchenalia, lovely soaps, art and photography, reclaimed objects (including fabulous Spanish floor tiles, coming soon). There's a selection of work from local craftspeople, too. We even have a tea room with art gallery at the back! One year on, we have a new website at www.alhambrahome.co.uk. Please visit that for all the latest news and events.
STOP PRESS
We have just launched a fabulous new tile business and website at www.alhambratiles.co.uk
Events
Events in the pipeline include Crochet for Beginners, Knitting, Spanish Conversation and some rather funky art exhibitions! For more info just visit: http://www.alhambrahome.co.uk/page4.htm
Close ups
There is new feature in the online shops: a link to some close-ups of the weaves so you can get a feel for the textures of each different type of rug. Oh, and if you still can't find what you need please come into the shop or email us at mail@casajarapa.net with any enquiries - if we don't have it, we can easily order it.
Olive oil
Our wonderful organic, extra virgin olive oil is back for a fourth year. It comes from the first pressing and is therefore cold-pressed,
and the acidity is around 0.3 per cent (maximum 0.5 per cent). If you
would like to try a bottle, please email us. The oil is currently available in 250ml, 500ml and 1 litre bottles.
Everyone buying a cooking pot gets a free Spanish recipe sheet thrown in!
Rug underlay in stock now
Several customers have been asking about anti-slip underlay, so we now
have some in stock for people who are purchasing rugs from us. It's
only really necessary for the lighter rugs, if you are going to be
running around or have particularly slippery floors.
Gift vouchers ready
Lots of you say you'd like to get a rug for a friend, but don't know exactly what their taste is. Problem solved: we are now selling gift vouchers in £5, £10, £20 and £50 denominations. And if your friend doesn't want a rug, they could spend their voucher on olive oil or a cooking pot (see above). If you are interested in vouchers, please email us
