What sort of rug?
For busy areas like entrance halls and kitchens, choose a hardwearing single-sided style. Don’t forget, they can be washed and come out of the machine looking as good as new.
For dark floors, choose light-coloured rugs. For light-coloured floors, choose brighter rugs.
If you are putting a rug under a table, the rug should be about 12cm longer and wider than the table.
All rugs are machine washable, making them ideal if you have pets. Also, current feedback from jarapa-owning cat-owners is that cats choose to sleep on the rugs, rather than claw at them!
Which colours?
Light and space: Light-coloured rugs will brighten dark rooms and make small rooms seem bigger.
Cream and beige rugs also convey a sophisticated and elegant style.
Great for kids: Jarapas come in many fun colours which, along with the fact they are washable, make them perfect for children’s bedrooms!
Cool and calming: Fresh colours, such as blue and green, are said to promote tranquility.
Warm and cosy: Earthy colours, such as terracotta, red, ochre and brown, create a snug atmosphere.
